The man can't speak without telling a new lie
Argue if you want, but no it's not both sides
He cheats on his wives, workers, and income taxes
Hey Cory Gardner, what do you think about that?
He conned your voters, the ones who are left
But not every vote is equal in the US
He'll never keep his promises, he won't even try
Hey Cory Gardner, will it be alright?
He's a bully among yes men with no dignity
You're either a villain or his property
He speaks from the heart, but everything he says is wrong
Hey Cory Gardner, whose side are you on?
His debt is a fortune, where does his money come from?
Nobody can say for sure he won't drop the bomb
He knows what we're afraid of, and he knows who
Hey Cory Gardner, does he speak for you?
You're a mighty big letdown
Can you be trusted at all?
I'm pretty sure you lie through your pretty teeth
About your principles
Cuz I know what they're worth

“Do whatever it takes,” is what the bank said.
“You’re gonna lose your job, if you can’t.” So they did.
Yeah, 2 million fake accounts, created fraudulently.
“We didn’t want that at all” is what the bank plead.
“We fired all the bad guys, we swear we did,”
“but I guess we’ll look at systematic changes as well.”
Now there’s a President who
owes that bank lots of money.
Hundreds of millions can make
anybody act funny.
The FDIC has a board of directors appointed by the president;
The Governors of the Federal Reserve are appointed by the president;
The Comptroller of the Currency is appointed by the president;
If I made a lot of deals with banks, it’d be nice to be the president.
We have a president who
owes banks a lot of money.
Billions of dollars can make
anybody act funny.

Senator Blumenthal, we are calling all
The Senators, we'll stand with y'all
I know you've got the wherewithal
To weather this dangerous Situation that we’re in
We can’t have complacency
When it’s so plain to see
The threat to our democracy
It’s an attack of agency
if we neglect standing up to the president elect
You have got a record of voting for what’s right
Connecticut has put her faith in you
And that looks good on paper, but it’s only half the fight
You’ve got some bigger work, now, to do.
We need you to be louder than you thought you could ever be
We need you to stand up and take the lead
We need you to reach out to us, and we won’t let you down
In return, we will be everything you need
Be dissenter Blumenthal
Opposing every wall (Metaphor or literal)
You’ve got to be the voice for all who feel the threat
Pending in this president-unfortunate
Trump is a bully and we fully understand
That what he has got planned
Is something we can’t let expand
So every day is a chance we have to take to be in his way
You have got a record of voting for what’s right
Connecticut has put her faith in you
And that looks good on paper, but it’s only half the fight
You’ve got some bigger work, now, to do.
We need you to be louder than you thought you could ever be
We need you to stand up and take the lead
We need you to reach out to us, and we won’t let you down
In return, we will be everything you need
Stand for us and we’ll be anything you need.

Well I've never had much faith
In my elected officials
And I've never cast a ballot for the less of two evils
It never made much sense to me
Then I saw the flame
In the hearts of evil men
Feeling no shame because the media's playing
Lucifer's speeches all day
They watered the seeds of hundreds years past
With the devil on their side they stopped hiding
And I know that you've fought fight after fight
But we need you to fight once more
I haven't seen many
Angels stay angels
Long after Peter invited them in
Ain't long before Adam drags them out
The pit bosses told me
"Keep playing that machine"
Under the notion that I should win more
More and more over time
No wall can be built can't be torn down to the ground
No golden tower can outshine the sounds of our spaces
We'll take what we need and we'll take it when we need it
We'll water the seeds of a hundred years future
Any way we can we will
And I know that you've fought fight after fight
But we need you to fight once more

Hey Chuck
I heard you ain't missed a vote
Except in Ninety-Three
When the rivers rose to drown the corn
And fields of good soybeans
When the treatment plant went under
And Des Moines had nothing to drink
Now, I don't remember much of that
'Cause I wasn't even two
But ever since November
I've felt the rain fall harder
I've felt the river rising
Like another kind of flood is coming through
You said it all yourself, Chuck
We've not elected many saints
But should presidential rhetoric
Be greed and lies and hate?
Who shall bear the burden
When he tries to play his game?
Whose liberties will he prize?
Whose rights will he maintain?
Hey Chuck
The fear of sinking
For me, is not that great
'Cause I'm an able-bodied white male
Who identifies as straight
But I fear for my loved ones
Friends and family who ain't
So I hope the judiciary chairman
Of the Senate will agree
To show how farmer from Iowa
Can protect their state's minorities
And stand against injustices
Even if they have no law degree
'Cause you said it all yourself, Chuck
We've not elected many saints
But is the presidential cabinet
A place for greed and lies and hate?
How many of your constituents
Will bear the burden of his game?
Will their liberties be prized?
Will their rights all be maintained?
Hey Chuck
Did you know our state
Has global fame to some degree?
The caucus every four years
Brings us infamy
From the countrysides of Europe
To the South China Sea
That's what I learned while traveling
Teaching children of all creeds
Who had questions in November
Who I'm sure have questions still
Of the example that is set for them
By the man my state and homeland chose to lead
'Cause you said it all yourself, Chuck
We've not elected many saints
But is the president a role model
For greed and lies and hate?
The world's children watching
As he tries to play his game
Whose liberties will they learn to prize?
Whose rights will they maintain?
Hey Chuck
I heard you don't care
If you go down in history
But this isn't about glory, sir
Or your name inside some book
But the job you're here to do, sir
For the voters who are flooded with unease
'Cause you said it all yourself, Chuck
We've not elected many saints
So how will you defend us
From his greed and lies and hate?
What part will you take, sir
When he tries to play his game?
Whose liberties will you prize?
Whose rights will you maintain?
Whose liberties will you prize?
Whose rights will you maintain?

We want our president to
Support LGBTQ people and their families
In every community
We want out president to
Listen to the scientists
Because global warming is real
And we are all pretty pissed
Peace, love and harmony
That is what we want to see
No pipelines and the best schools
We do not like racist fools
Justice and Equality
That is what we want to see
We don’t want a border wall
If its built we’ll make it fall
We want our Senator to
Focus on all the issues
Keep speaking out against hate
Our country’s not always great
Senator we are on your side
And our hearts are filed with pride
Senator you really great
Please keep on serving our state
Peace, love and harmony
That is what we want to see
No pipelines and the best schools
We do not like racist fools
Justice and Equality
that is what we want to see
we don’t want a boarder wall
if its built we’ll make it fall

I will not be a joke
I will not be an ad
I will not be a prop on the tv stand
Of a wealthy man
Who doesn't know, this is our land.
These days when I go out, I have a shorter fuse
It's not that I'm against different points of view,
But I won't tolerate trampling human rights
Or dressing up a nazi, and calling him alt-right.
If you don't agree, watch the company you keep
and don't barter freedom for a promise on the cheap.
I will not be a joke . . .
Hey there journalists, are you the fourth estate
Or just kids clamoring for dessert on your plate?
For these sugar coated blues, we share a little blame
We ask for the truth, but put no money in the game.
Don't give us the easy route, that leaves a country divided
We can make room for truth, if you don't save face to hide it.
I will not be a joke . . .
Now, I'm talking to you, Congress – elected men and women
Are you there for us, or is our flag the victim?
To two sad jokes, like, “How bad could it get?”
Or “How many fascists does it take to tip the Cabinet?”
Now is the moment, for you to take a stand
And prove you're stronger than these sad corrupted men.
I will not be a joke . . .
Hey there, old man, in the center ring
Looks like a circus, with these words you're brandishing
Tossin' promises like knives, then bowin' for applause
And when it doesn't come, you say, the game is flawed.
Is our country the caravan, with you up on the stage?
Is anyone driving, can we be governed by pure outrage?
With world leaders watchin' and Putin laughin'
I think of that old film, and you look a lot like John Iselin.
But we are not a joke . . .
Now, I'm singing for the queers, the muslims and the blacks
The women, the immigrants and everyone else under attack
Our difference is our strength, and our strength can prevail
If we remember, one man's comfort, can be another man's bail.
This democracy's an experiment,
And most experiments fail
In the name of love and freedom, let's blaze a brighter trail.
'Cause, we are not a joke
We are not an ad
We are not a prop on the tv stand
We are here to stay
Because, this is our land.
Yeah, we are here to stay
we are here to stay
we are here to stay
cause this is our land
From woody guthrie to today.

Old North State (lyrics)
Come for the sand and sea
Stay for the bigotry
Oh that’s not what we want them to think about us
So stand up and say we’re better
Because we’re better than that
Explore the mountainsides
But only if you’re male and white
But we all pay taxes and some are afraid
So please fix the mess that has been made
We don’t stand for hate
In the Old North State
And we’re counting on you
To tell the President
That we all need a leader
Who’s going to make sense
Protect the place that we love
Protect the people we love
Art, music, and scenery
It’s all here for you and me
But drilling and fracking, destroying the dunes
Will cause us to crash and burn real soon
We’re counting on you
We don’t stand for hate
In the Old North State
And we’re counting on you
To tell the President
That we all need a leader
Who’s going to make sense
Protect the place that we love
Protect the people we love
This place should be safe for black and white
Men and women we all have rights
We walk out the door and are bullied and shamed
Are you proud we’re the home of the KKK?
What do you say?
We don’t stand for hate
In the Old North State
And we’re counting on you
To tell the President
That we all need a leader
Who’s going to make sense
Protect the place that we love
Protect the people we love
Protect the nation we love
Protect everything that we love

I don’t like this
Staring into the abyss
Feeling like I’m gonna puke
No stars in my eyes
Now it’s time to organize
And that’s what I’m gonna do
And from your office in DC
Cory Booker I hope you take the lead
When he steps on our Democracy
I hope you make him bleed
Don’t give him
Don’t give him anything
He’ll use it all against us
Don’t give him
Don’t give him anything
He’s Nero not Augustus
I may not agree
With you on everything
But Mr Booker I hope we can
Agree that he
Is a sad species
A bully tyrant of a man
Politics is compromise
But sometimes that takes a back seat
To empower him is to let us down
The vulnerable will take all the heat
Don’t give him
Don’t give him anything
He’ll use it all against us
Don’t give him
Don’t give him anything
He’s Nero not Augustus

Advice for Chuck Schumer on Dealing with President Trump
You should not try to fuck a butterfly
Or waste time teaching the devil a new prayer
You shouldn’t light up a smoke in a meth lab
Or try to split a sandwich with a bear
Cooperating with Trump
Is operating like a chump
This is true, Chuck Schumer, not just partisan rumor
The time to fight is now
Don’t check if a scorpion is ticklish
Or try to out-think a game of random chance
Working hand in hand with Reince Preibus
Is like putting a rabid squirrel down your pants
Even if you win a staring contest
With a zombie you still lose

Dear Senator Wyden
I take pride in
The fact that you're providing
Defending not dividing
Our country and our freedom
And I thought that you should know then
The way you defend
edward snowden
Keeps me hoping
That he won't have to keep on hiding
And that you will keep on
fighting
- For our freedom and our rights and
Stand up against the tide that-
Has turned as we learned
On that November night and
I was so very frightened
But now it's time to right it
Stand up against the classist racist sexist admin
Try to reach across the aisle but don't let them get their hands in
Passing legislation causing violence and oppression
With a bipartisan sheen-
so they can front they ain't bad men
Got the Donald in there acting like he lives in Mad Men
The poorest going hungry while the richest getting fat and
The apathetic middle class is scoring high on Madden
And I can't help but feel as though the time has come to batten
batten!
Down the hatches
And light up the matches
Back-channeling with Glenn Greenwald
And Laura Poitras
Cornering James Clapper hand the NSA their asses
Time for Washington to flip their mothercucking mattress!
Yes I KNOW hillary won the popular vote
Shows there's a lot of good, that there's a lot of hope
But all that matters now is we're stuck in this boat
It's an orange tinted groping ship of racist bloat
But the voters are a lot folk we can't scapegoat!
Please listen when they're hurting and let's lift up those -
Who will be marginalized, targeted, who already have been.
Hate crimes committed but called religious freedom
Threatening our healthcare, our environment,
our lives
Threatening us on twitter out of pettiness and spite!
We've had poison in portland skies
From unregulated glass shops
Our river is polluted
And there's no sign that it will stop
The homeless folks get arrested or die out in the cold
And the rents are getting higher to make overpriced condos
So you see why there are protests
And you see why others voted—
For Drumpf because they were scared, against Drumpf cuz they do know-
That we are on a precipice
the precedent is set to
have a president that
we must dissent against
But dissent is getting silenced
Or snuffed out with violence
Which is why I thought it's time that
It's you we can confide in
So Wyden,
You know we're on your side
in Oregon
and we're all in so please keep fighting!

Our state is small
But powerful
And part of all the noise
Though we’re scared
And maybe ill prepared
To fight against the big boys
Now more than every we can’t lose our ground
How can we every stand if we don’t make a sound
Senator Whitehouse, you’ve got to fight the White House, push back all you can
Against a presidency of incompetency show me that you give a damn
Senator Whitehouse, you’ve got to fight the White House, be the voice for us
Cause your women, your people of color your Rhode Island we ain't gonna hush
No we ain't dumb
We know our system
Don’t save but crumbs for the masses
But now it’s time
Disrupt the rhyme
Being spewed by the elite classes
Now more than every we can’t lose our ground
How can we every stand if we don’t make a sound
Senator Whitehouse, you’ve got to fight the White House, push back all you can
Against a presidency of incompetency show me that you give a damn
Senator Whitehouse, you’ve got to fight the White House, be the voice for us

All this chatter and name calling
Adds layers of chaos to a throbbing commotion
Can you clear your conscience?
The smokies collapse by foliage ablaze
You still know your way in this haze(?)
Hold on tight, and take a deep breath
We fear resolution results in death
Where can the Mockingbird build its nest?
The storm gusts on, refusing to (and won’t) rest
Take a page from the book of Dolly Parton
In our "Call to Arms", a message from the heart
A Volunteer State of mind
At least, that would be a start
His face, caked orange from our land
His greed for gold, won’t wash from his hands
His dirty molestings, amount to nothing?
We need your help
We need your help
To divest his plans
We need your help
Take a page from the book of Dolly Parton
In our "Call to Arms", a message from the heart
A Volunteer State of mind
At least, that would be a start
He’s no Captain, campaign was shipwrecked
Yet he cruised on, at our expense
Calling on you, Bob Corker
Through the polluted Cumberland,
can you patch this ship
and diffuse the mortar?
Take a page from the book of Dolly Parton
In our "Call to Arms", a message from the heart
A Volunteer State of mind
At least, that would be a start
We need your help
We need your help
Help

I am afraid of what's been done
I am afraid of what's been done
Chosen a fool who loves no one
I am afraid of what's been done
Let me ask you, oh my man Ted Cruz
You're in a Senate with nothing to lose
We need a hero, need a conscience, need a gun
Need a cowboy who'll protect from what's to come
So put your boots on and c'mon and lead the way
It's for your country, baby, you'll know what to say
So belt your buckle, bring the justice and your guts
It's time to ride now, baby, no if, ands, or buts
Chorus
Do you love me, is true?
Do you know what I need you to do? (3X)
We need a champion
Let me ask you, oh my man Ted Cruz
You're in a Senate with nothing to lose
We need a hero, need a conscience, need a gun
Need a cowboy who'll protect from what's to come
So put your boots on and c'mon and lead the way
It's for your country, baby, you'll know what to say
So belt your buckle, bring the justice and your guts
It's time to ride now, baby, no ifs, ands, or buts
Chorus

Do you know what I need you to do?
We need a champion
Do you love me, is true?
Do you know what I need you to do?

We lost the battle, but not the war
We gotta pick ourselves up off the floor
Take the good fight back to them
History is with us in the end
How many setbacks have we faced?
How many tears are we gonna waste?
There is still so much to do
And Senator, we look to you
To stand for us, stand up for what's right
We won't go quiet into this night
We won't give up, we won't give in
We need you to stand with us again
Against injustice, against the hate
Our very way of life is at stake
Stand and fight
Stand and fight
We are imperiled, we are embattled
Our enemies are bold, and we've been rattled
We can't give up, we cannot quit
We have to rise up, and stick with it
'Cause people need us to protect their rights
We must be prepared to fight a thousand fights
This is our promise, this is our creed
We will not abandon those in need
Stand for us, stand up for what's right
We won't go quiet into this night
We won't give up, we won't give in
We need you to stand with us again
Against injustice, against the hate
Our very way of life is at stake
Stand and fight
Stand and fight
This is a song of hope, a simple prayer
That when we need you most, you will be there
We need you to be our voice and shield
We need you to stand firm, do not yield
Stand for us, stand up for what's right
We won't go quiet into this night
We won't give up, we won't give in
We need you to stand with us again
Against injustice, against the hate
Our very way of life is at stake
Stand and fight
Stand and fight.

My parents were born in the same small town
On the North Dakota plains
And after twenty years of serving our country
Our family moved home again
This is a land that gets in your blood
Even as the bitter cold makes you numb
I learned lessons of its warmest people
And I’m proud to tell you where I’m from
Remember the values of those you represent
Honesty, integrity, watching every cent
Standing up for what is right even if you’re told it’s wrong
Because when you’re alone, it’s up to you to be strong
Even far from home
They see you’re homegrown
Senator, you come from a small town
Learned hard work and responsibility
You chose to serve the state that you love
To the best of your ability
We have a lot in common, you and I
Though we mean different things for D,ND
We try to help the folks who got us here
No matter where we happen to be
Remember the values of those you represent
Honesty, integrity, watching every cent
Standing up for what is right even if you’re told it’s wrong
Because when you’re in charge, it’s your job to be strong
Even far from home
They see you’re homegrown
Remember the values of those you represent
Honesty, integrity, watching every cent
Standing up for what is right even if you’re told it’s wrong
Because when it’s hardest, that’s when we must strong
Even far from home
They see you’re homegrown
No matter where you roam
They see you’re homegrown
